Privacy policy

Information we collect

• Booking details: your name, phone number, email address, the service, date and time you choose, and any notes you add.
• Booking-form progress: if you accept, we save how far you got through the booking form (see below).
• A one-way scrambled version of your network (IP) address, used only to limit abuse. We cannot turn it back into your address.
• A small record of your cookie choice, and, if you accept, a random booking-session id. See "Cookies and local storage".
• If you accept, anonymous page-view statistics from our analytics provider.

Booking-form progress

We save your booking-form progress, including the contact details you enter, so we can follow up on unfinished bookings. This is stored in our booking_attempts records and includes the length and time you chose and, once you reach the details step, your name, phone number and email.

If you decline cookies, we do not save booking-form progress. Booking still works normally.

Once you finish booking, the progress record no longer keeps your contact details, because they are stored with your appointment.

How we use it

• To confirm, manage and, if needed, change your appointment.
• To contact you about a booking you started but did not finish.
• To see where visitors get stuck and make booking easier.
• To protect the website from abuse and keep it running.

Sharing

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

We rely on service providers to run the site: Vercel hosts the website and provides analytics, and Neon hosts our database. If we later add an email provider to send booking messages, it will receive the email address and message content needed to send them. These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us.

We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Unfinished booking-progress records, including any contact details and the scrambled network address, are deleted automatically after 90 days.
• Appointment records are kept for as long as we need them to run the business and meet legal obligations.
• Your cookie choice is remembered for 12 months, then we ask again.

Security

Connections to the site are encrypted, access to our records is limited to the owner and staff who need it, and we store only the minimum we need. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies and local storage

When you first visit, a small banner asks you to accept or decline. If you do nothing, it accepts after 6 seconds. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.

• Always on (strictly necessary): a cookie and local-storage entry named oasis-consent that remembers your choice for 12 months, and a sign-in cookie that is used only by the owner.
• Only if you accept: a random booking-session id kept in your browser tab so we can save your booking progress, and anonymous analytics.
• If you decline: we skip analytics and the booking-session id, and we remove any session id already stored.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Contact us using the details below and we will act on your request.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us details, contact us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
